【摘要】:Thispracticeisapplicabletosamplingsoilsandsimilarfine-grainedcohesivematerials.Thispracticeistobeusedbypersonnelwhoaretoacquirethesamples.ThispracticeshouldbeusedinconjunctionwithGuideD4687,whichcoverssamplingplans,safety,qualityassurance,preservation,decontamination,labeling,andchain-of-custodyprocedures;PracticeD5088,whichcoversthedecontaminationoffieldequipmentusedatwastesites;andPracticeD5283,whichcoversprojectspecificationsandpracticesforenvironmentalfieldoperations.1.1Thispracticecoverssamplingusingatrier.AtrierresemblesanelongatedscoopasshowninFig.1.Thetrierisusedtocollectsamplesofgranularorpowderedmaterialsthataremoistorstickyandhaveaparticlediameterlessthanone-halfthediameterofthetrier.1.2Thetriercanbeusedasaverticalcoringdeviceonlywhenitiscertainthatarelativelycompleteandcylindricalsamplecanbeextracted.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.FIG.1Triers(Typical)

【摘要】:Mooneyviscosityisusedextensivelyintherubberindustryasameasurementofthegeneralqualityofraworcompoundeduncuredrubber.Thisspecialviscosityhasbeenrelatedtoaveragemolecularweightandtohandlingandprocessingcharacteristicsinvariousrubberoperationssuchasmixing,extruding,molding,andsoforth.ThispracticeaddressestherawMooneyviscosityofSBRinitsfinishedstateattheSBRmanufacturerrsquo;plantandintheready-to-usestateattherubberproductmanufacturerrsquo;plant.DifferentprocessesanddifferentprocessingequipmentoftenrequirerubberofthesamecompositionatdifferentrawMooneyviscositylevels.TheuseofthispracticeenablesproducersofSBRtooffereachrubberwithanumberofstandardtargetMooneyviscosityvaluesandinformsuserswhichMooneyviscosityrubbersareavailable.Note18212;UseofthispracticewilleliminatetheneedforproducerstomanufacturerubbersofthesamecompositionwithtargetMooneyvaluesunrealisticallyclosetogether.Thiswillallowthemanufacturerstoproducetoeachtarget,andeliminatetheneedtosortproductformanydifferentspecificationranges.Theresultwillbeimprovedprocessperformanceindexesandmoreconsistentrubberforallusers.Note28212;Usingthispracticewillbenefitusersbyprovidingapublishedlistoftheproducerrsquo;Mooneyviscositytargetvaluesandimprovedconsistencyoftherubbertheyreceive.Thebetterconsistencywillresultfromproducingrubbertoatargetratherthansortingitafteritistested.Interchangeabilityofrubbersfromdifferentproducersshouldbesimplified.1.1Thispracticecoversameansforproducersandusersofemulsionstyrene-butadienerubber(SBR)toestablishcommontargetvaluesfortheMooneyviscosityoftheserubbers.1.2MooneyviscosityisawidelyusedmeasurementforrubberasdefinedinTestMethodsD1646wheretheprocedureforitsmeasurementisspecified.1.3TheMooneyviscositytargetvalueisdefinedasthemidpointofaMooneyviscosityspecificationrangeestablishedbyaproduceroruserofrubber.
