【摘要】:Inmanypetroleumrefiningprocesses,lowlevelsofsulfurinfeedstocksmaypoisonexpensivecatalysts.Thistestmethodcanbeusedtomonitortheamountofsulfurinsuchpetroleumfractions.Thistestmethodmayalsobeusedasaquality-controltoolforsulfurdeterminationinfinishedproducts.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofsulfurinpetroleumproductsintherangefrom0.02to10.00mg/kg.1.2Thistestmethodmaybeextendedtohigherconcentrationbydilution.1.3Thistestmethodisapplicabletoliquidswhoseboilingpointsarebetween30and371176;C(86and700176;F).Materialsthatcanbeanalyzedincludenaphtha,kerosine,alcohol,steamcondensate,variousdistillates,jetfuel,benzene,andtoluene.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4.1Certainspecificationsfortherecorder(see5.5)areexcepted.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
