【摘要】:Themostcommonanionicsurfactantspresentedinthistestmethodareusedwidelyinsyntheticdetergentsandotherhouseholdcleaners.Currentanalysisoftheactivematterintheseanionicsurfactantsinvolvesthetwo-phaseaqueous/chloroformtitrationwithamixedindicator,organicdyessuchasdisulphineblue/dimidiumbromide(seeTestMethodD3049),andmethyleneblue(seeTestMethodD1681).Thistestmethodeliminatestheuseofhazardouschloroform,theuseofwhichisrestrictedforenvironmentalandtoxicologicalreasons.Thistestmethodalsodescribesthetitrationofvariousratioblendsofsodiumalkylbenzenesulfonateandsodiumxylenesulfonate.Activemattercontentintheseblendsisattributabledirectlytosodiumalkylbenzenesulfonate.Therefore,thepresenceofvariousamountsofsodiumxylenesulfonateintheseblendsdoesnotinterferewiththedeterminationofpercentactives.1.1Thistestmethodisbasedonapotentiometrictitrationofcommonanionicsurfactantsandblendsofanionicsurfactantwithahydrotrope.Thistestmethodsolelyisintendedfortheanalysisofactivematterinthefollowingsurfactants:alcoholethersulfate,alphaolefinsulfonate,alkylbenzenesulfonicacid,alcoholsulfate,sodiumalkylbenzenesulfonate/sodiumxylenesulfonateblend(5:1),sodiumalkylbenzenesulfonate/sodiumxylenesulfonateblend(16:1),andsodiumalkylbenzenesulfonate/sodiumxylenesulfonateblend(22:1).Ithasnotbeentestedforsurfactantformulations.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.MaterialSafetyDataSheetsareavailableforreagentsandmaterials.Reviewthemforhazardspriortousage.
