【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethoddescribesthedeterminationoftwistinsinglespunyarnswhenonlyanapproximationofthetruetwistisrequired.ForamoreaccuratemethodseeTestMethodD1423.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletospunsingleyarnsincontinuouslengths,andalsotospunyarnsraveledfromfabrics,providedspecimensatleast200mm(8in.)longcanbeobtained.1.3Thistestmethodisnotapplicabletoyarnsthathavebeensubjectedtoanychemicaltreatmentormechanicalprocessthatresultsinaconditionthatpreventseasyremovaloftwistfromtheyarn,nortobastfiberyarnsinwhichthebundlesoffiberssplit,nortoyarnsthatextendmorethan5.0%whentensionisincreasedfrom2.5to7.5mN/tex(0.25to0.75gf/tex).1.4Thistestmethodhasbeenfoundsatisfactoryforuseindeterminingtwistinallsingleringspunyarnsand100%cottonopen-endyarns.Forallopen-endspunyarnsthatarenot100%cottonthistestmethodhasnotbeenfoundtobesatisfactoryfordeterminingtwistbutmaybeusedtomeasuredeviationfromanaveragevalue.1.5Thisspecificationshowsthevaluesinbothinch-poundunitsandSIunits.The"inch-pound"unitsisthetechnicallycorrectnameforthecustomaryunitsusedintheUnitedStates.The"SI"unitsisthetechnicallycorrectednameforthesystemofmetricunitsknownastheInternationalSystemofUnits.Thevaluesstatedineitheracceptablemetricunitsorinotherunitsshallberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesexpressedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombininginanyway.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.>
